Four months ago the American Angus Association brought in Allen Moczygemba to help lead the organization as Chief Executive Officer. Jamie Johansen recently had to the opportunity to sit down with him. During the interview, Allen shared the story about his life-long commitment to agriculture his vision for the breed going forward.
Angus is known as the ‘Business Breed’ and Allen said the state of the breed makes it a fun topic to discuss. “Our registration numbers continue to grow significantly year over year. Prices have held even though the cattle market has softened. We are positioned well for the longterm. Genetic testing continues to grow in acceptance. We have more and more data we are able to share with our members and commercial cattlemen as well. I am blessed to be here at this time.”
