Fuels America Holds Presser at EPA #RFS Hearing

epa-hearing-pressToday biofuel supporters are in Kansas City, Missouri to call on the EPA to make more ethanol and other biofuels available to consumers in next year’s fuel mix. The EPA held a public hearing today on the 2017 and 2018 proposed volumes under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS), and around 140 people testified about what the RFS means to them and the country.

Fuels America hosted a press conference at the location featuring leading ethanol supporters who are calling for the EPA to follow the law of the legislation and put renewable fuel volumes back to statue levels. Speakers included:

  • Bob Dinneen, President and CEO of the Renewable Fuels Association
  • Emily Skor, CEO of Growth Energy
  • Chip Bowling, President of the National Corn Growers Association
  • Chris Soules, Iowa Farmer and Reality Television Star of “The Bachelor” & “Dancing with the Stars”
  • Annette Sweeney, Iowa Farmer and Former State Representative
  • Brian Sowers, Missouri Sportsman and Co-Host of Crappie Masters TV
  • Richard Fordyce, Missouri Director of Agriculture
