2016 has been a great year for the ethanol industry, according to Renewable Fuels Association president and CEO Bob Dinneen.

Dinneen says more ethanol in higher blends got into the nation’s fuel supply in 2016.

China brought anti-dumping charges this year against U.S. exports of the ethanol co-product distillers dried grains or DDG, but Dinneen says they were able to make up for that with exports to other countries.

And Dinneen says they are developing new export markets for ethanol even as European Union’s anti-dumping duties against the U.S. were found to be illegal this year.
